Questions?

Life coaching can sound overwhelming. I want you to feel confident in your decision from start to finish. I am here to work with you and see if this is what you're looking for. While understanding this is a financial investment and time commitment and I want to make sure this is the right fit for both you and me!

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is NOT therapy. We do not diagnose mental health disorders. The benefit of life coaching is that it focuses on exactly what your goals are and helps you get there more efficiently. The tools and techniques life coaching teaches you will help you achieve your goals while hopefully alleviating stressors in your life.

  • Kayla will be on time, fully present, and free from distractions during sessions. She will maintain confidentiality, follow the International Coach Federation code of ethics, and be genuine, honest, kind, and direct. Kayla will focus on your strengths, faith, and potential, come prepared, and help you explore new perspectives for growth. She will support your personal progress and your relationship with God, always prioritizing your highest goals.

  • You commit to attending and being on time for all sessions, staying present and free of distractions. You will come prepared with a focus for each session, sharing all relevant information with Kayla to ensure effective coaching. You will maintain high expectations for both of us, take responsibility for my learning, and provide feedback for adjustments. You will notify Kayla of any scheduling conflicts at least 24 hours in advance, understanding that only one missed session is allowed per program, with further missed appointments forfeited without a refund.

I cannot wait to see God work in your life and help you on your journey!

FAQs

  • In simple terms, most forms of therapy, including counseling, focus on ‘what has happened. They are concerned with ‘the problem’ and with regaining mental balance and perspective. Coaching focuses on what is possible. It is future-focused, action-oriented, and supportive in helping clients move towards their goals.

  • We focus where the client wants us to focus: your goals and your relationship with Christ. Although, we might have some comfort-zone-pushing suggestions for how to reach those goals. Personalized skills and/or worksheets may be included in your coaching, but don't worry - I use the honor system, and there won't be any grading!

  • The time frame for "success" varies from person to person. Please keep in mind that while life coaching is incredibly helpful for growth, personal effort will most definitely be required. Coaches cannot do all the work, just like clients cannot do all the work. It takes a team to make make progress, and every journey will take a different amount of time.

  • To make the most of your coaching sessions, it's essential to prioritize them. I recommend setting aside one hour each week in a quiet, distraction-free environment to fully engage in the session. By dedicating this focused time, you'll achieve the best results.

If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. You are allowed one free missed session during the program, which can be rescheduled. Any additional missed appointments will be forfeited without reimbursement or rescheduling.
